Today, you have breakfast and head to the hotel lobby to meet your guide, who will take you to the gem that is the stunning city of Sintra and show you around its remarkable sights, Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira.
The Pena Palace is the iconic symbol of the area, looking like a place from a Disney fairytale with its beautiful facade full of life and colors. The sight is definitely a must-see, as it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. The interiors of the palace are also something to admire; you will feel like royalty marveling at the rich decorations and furniture. One of the things to keep an eye on is the extraordinary decorative tiles that adorn the rooms.
Quinta da Regaliera boasts a very different atmosphere, evoking images of witchcraft and mistery. During the tour, you get to not only go inside the impressive castle but also enjoy a tour of the grounds—a true treasure of a sight. One of the most popular landmarks in the area is a Wishing Well, an incredible underground tower that serves as an entrance to a complicated labyrinth that ends in a cave, hidden behind a waterfall. How cool is that?

Overall, the tour was great! The itinerary was well-designed, and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. However, there were a few instances where the pace felt a bit rushed, and we wished we had more time to explore certain attractions. Nonetheless, it was a memorable experience, and we would consider booking with Travel Inventor again in the future.

That was our first private tour with Travel Inventor, and at the beginning, we weren’t sure if we needed to take it. But now we do regret these thoughts! The trip was AMAZING! The attention to detail and personalized service made us feel like royalty. Every moment was magical, from exploring historic landmarks to indulging in local cuisine. Highly recommend!
