Get ready for an exciting day ahead exploring the gems of Sintra, a beautiful town nestled 25 km away from the Portuguese capital. After breakfast, meet your local guide in the hotel lobby and begin your short drive to this amazing place that, for years, was a royal sanctuary.

Your first stop is the out-of-this-world Quinta da Regaliera, a spectacular 19th-century manor. With Gothic, Egyptian, Moorish, and Renaissance features interwoven in its design, the palace is a truly special sight to behold and feels like something out of a dark fantasy book. But the true gem is its lavish gardens and the famous Initiation Well, spiraling beneath the Earth for eight stores and connected to a secret waterfall by an underground tunnel.

Next, you stop by the Pena Palace, a calling card of Sintra and a place with a very different energy than Quinta da Regaliera. Full of vibrant colors, Pena Castle looks absolutely magical, like it belongs in a Disney movie, and is surely a must-visit place during any Lisbon vacation.

After the tour of Pena Palace is over, you head back to Lisbon and have the rest of the day at leisure.

The following morning, you enjoy breakfast and check out of your hotel in Lisbon. After that, you have a private transfer to the train station, where you catch your train to Porto. Upon arrival, a driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the city center.

The next morning, after breakfast, you head to the city center to meet your guide, who will show the amazing city of Porto.

This remarkable destination has a lot to offer, and your gracious host is a local in love with their city who will make sure that you love it too. Explore its must-see sights, such as Sao Bento Train Station, Clerigos Tower, and Rua de Flores, learn about the local culture; and enjoy delicious local flavors hand-picked by your guide as you explore the beautiful city and its incredible food scene.

Today, you pay a visit to the gem of the region, the breathtaking Douro Valley, famous for the spectacular views of terraced vineyards and excellent wines.

During the trip, you will visit two regions' wineries, where you will learn everything you need to know about the Portuguese wines, hear the story of the brands and find out what makes the region’s wines one-of-a-kind. The highlight is, of course, the tastings of the best reds and whites that the wineries have to offer.

What is more, you will have some time to explore the wonderful village of Pinhao, the heart of Douro Valley, and enjoy a slow lunch with some amazing views, as well as visit the famous Casal de Loivos viewpoint.

After the trip, you have a transfer back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free to keep exploring Porto on your own.
