Although the evenings can be pretty chilly, make sure to pack accordingly (an umbrella is also a must).

Plus, the first few days of January mark the start of grand winter sales, so fashionmongers flock to Rome, Milan, and Florence, hoping to get the best deals. The autumn and spring seasons in Italy have quite a lot in common, mirroring each other beautifully. Both boast fewer crowds than in summer months, as well as excellent weather conditions. However, there are a few significant differences. Late April and early May are usually too cold to swim, but the time is perfect for exploring the stunning hiking trails and enjoying the early blooms! Even at the beginning of April, the weather is warm enough for the trekking to be comfortable during the day. Just make sure to take an umbrella and a water-resistant jacket with you just in case.
